It reminds me of the old days in Korea when we had to change the 연탄 under the room at specific times. Once, I almost set the house on fire trying to warm up the doghouse by placing it on top of the funnel over the 연탄.

Naturally I haven’t gotten everything I wanted in life

When I moved to the United States, I wanted to edit a newspaper for the Korean community in the Washington area. I thought it was a good idea, and I mostly did it through the church, where I found some chances. I got some requests to help with two weekly newspapers, and guess what? I met a person who offered me to be editor for the religion section at the Dong-A Ilbo newspaper.   more
